If the fans liked it, I would continue the adventures of the "ghostly" doctor in a series much like Crusade. I would require permission to write more in its current setting, and even if he gave it I'd be reluctant to do so. There were a lot of things about the setting and its resulting limitations that I didn't like (being forced to have a story set in the 1980's was a big one). But I didn't create this idea specifically FOR this project. I borrowed it from my Pile Of Ideas, so it can easily be re-created in a setting of my own creation. Not that I have plans to do that; I just could if I wanted to. I would most likely have to change the names of the characters, etc., and there's been so many other good ideas since then I don't see a need to re-visit this one. Seriously. The only issue I have with it is that it feels more like an introduction to something much, much larger - which, at the time, it no doubt was intended to be - than just one self-contained story... though it IS very entertaining on its own. Any chance you'll expand on this setting, and the two main characters introduced here, further? Or would you require permission from the-guy-you-can't-find-now to write more Sovereign stories? I really like this story. Seriously.
