		<description>I think the ending seemed "rushed" to impress upon the reader the whirlwind of insanity gripping the protagonist throughout the remainder of his life after those nightmarish events, to the point that everything blurred together in his mind because from his point of view he was forever fleeing in terror from that last moment that drove him over the edge. At least, that's what I got from it - and it's why I liked it.</description>
