There’s a new science fiction story in the library:
Unofficial Report of the Pendleton Incident is a short science fiction piece that I was gonna try to get published on one of those web ezine thingies. I guess they didn’t like it. The reasons they didn’t like it are pretty much the same reaosns I don’t care for it myself, but when you’re given a length restriction of 1000 words, there’s not a whole lot you can do. My stories have entire conversations that last 1000 words. One action sequence could be twice that… EASILY. When I’ve only got 1000 words, what you get is basically a summary of a story that I WOULD have told, instead of an actual full-length narrative. Oh well… makes no difference to me: instead of reading it somewhere else, you’re reading it here.
