Goon City

Now THIS took some creativity. If you’ve got a decent internet connection and have ever used Google Maps, you can appreciate just how cool this is: A cartoon-city experienced via the GoogleMaps API. There’s lots and lots (and LOTS!) of things to see. A few things that caught my eye:

A Graboid.
Daleks (but no TARDIS!?)
Dr. Manhattan.

Monsters from the original DOOM video game (and not just the ones in the Doom II zone)
The Aperture Science facility
Spider Jerusalem vs. The Joker(s)
Lots of Batman/Joker references

…just to name a few!

    Godzilla, Nessie, Knight Rider, Simpsons, Superman, Iron Man, Bozo, Jenga, Star Wars, Pac Man, Beatles (Abby Road).

    Dang, this is fun. For a while the site was even down because of too much traffic and the hosting company was threatening him with heavy fees, but someone donated space for it so it’s back.
