Here is Page 68 of “The Forgotten”
There are only a couple more pages left after this, and I’ll try to have them all posted on Monday. If not, then regular schedule next week.

WOW. What an excellent page ending!
As fun as this ride has been, it’s sad to think it’s almost over. So many things I still want to know.
Who shut the door?
How will Eric get out?
What happened to David?
With the demon gone, how does Eric manage to make it to civilization considering the remoteness of the town and the wasteland around it?
Good writing does this to me. It makes me want more.
Favorites quotes from this page:
“he ran as if hell itself was behind him” — IT WAS!
“Bare feet on stone. Someone running in the darkness. Someone… with knives.” — What an image!
I think all those questions will be answered in the next page(s).
BTW… People I would not want to be:
1) Lowell Vern
2) Anyone still left alive in that chamber after Eric finishes with Lowell Vern.
Let us not forget the poor nameless souls about to die horrible, slow, painful deaths. In the dark. With knives.
I was hoping Ole Lowell would somehow escape. Ah well…
One question, if the entire town shows up for this ceremony, who is watching the children? Are they gathered together somewhere else in town where the older kids keep an eye on the younger ones? I wonder what Eric would do to them?
Poisoned.
No, really. Remember the stuff they fed David? Little children are asleep. Older children are keeping watch.
