I didn’t get excited when I heard that Hollywood was adding a Green Lantern film to the “Comic Book Movie” gravy train they’ve got going lately. Don’t get me wrong; I’m a GL fan from way back, but when I try to picture a Green Lantern movie that doesn’t suck… I just cant. I keep picturing it turning out like that first Fantastic Four movie [shudder].
Anyway, some guy went and made a fake Green Lantern trailer using some heavily doctored footage from other recent movies.

Yes, this is a FAKE trailer, and the real Green Lantern movie may turn out to be nothing like this.

A young, ambitious bank loan officer refuses to help an old gypsy woman keep her house out of foreclosure, even after the old woman begs. For this, the gypsy woman curses the her with a demon that will torment her for three days, and then drag her soul screaming into hell.
This sounds like my kind of movie.

I found this fantasy webcomic and thought it was interesting. It’s too early to tell anything about the story, but its very well drawn. The site and what little story there is promise something nice and dark… so I figured I’d pass it along.

I never really liked westerns. Scratch that… I’ve always pretty much hated them. But a horror movie set in the 1860′s is a good way to lure me in, especially when you add hideous subterranean creatures burying people alive so that they can be eaten once they’ve ‘softened’ a bit.

Do yourself a favor. Fire up your bittorrent client of choice and download a cartoon called “SuperJail”. Just search for the name. It is perhaps THE most insanely funny cartoon I’ve ever seen. It is literally laugh out loud, blow your beverage out of your nose all over the keyboard funny. I don’t know if I can describe what it’s about without it sounding less insane than it really is, so just watch it. Each episode is only ten minutes long, so you can consume them like candy…. only it rots your mind instead of your teeth. It’s subversive, violent, hilarious, violent, and violent. Not for kids, though. Not even a little bit. Hell, it’s not even for most ADULTS.
