Review: Wrong Turn 3 – Left For Dead

The third movie in the inbred-cannibal-mutant-hillbilly franchise features a group of escaped prisoners who find themselves lost in the woods and hunted by a pair of the flesh-eating freaks. Oh, and lets throw some miscellaneous cops, a leftover camper, a random dog, and an armored car full of money in there just for kicks.

Review: Trick ‘r Treat

What it’s about:
This is one of those anthology movies that contains several stories. In this case, it’s four, all of which take place in the same town on the same Halloween night. We have an unlucky but sadistic child-killer, a very persistent (and homicidal) trick-or-treater, a group of girls searching for a good time in a small town, and a group of kids who decide to play one hell of a Halloween prank. Each story is complete on its own, but they’re all connected.

(Fake) Green Lantern Trailer

I didn’t get excited when I heard that Hollywood was adding a Green Lantern film to the “Comic Book Movie” gravy train they’ve got going lately. Don’t get me wrong; I’m a GL fan from way back, but when I try to picture a Green Lantern movie that doesn’t suck… I just cant. I keep picturing it turning out like that first Fantastic Four movie [shudder].

Anyway, some guy went and made a fake Green Lantern trailer using some heavily doctored footage from other recent movies.

It rocks. See for yourself:

Yes, this is a FAKE trailer, and the real Green Lantern movie may turn out to be nothing like this.

Quick Review: Drag Me To Hell

A young, ambitious bank loan officer refuses to help an old gypsy woman keep her house out of foreclosure, even after the old woman begs. For this, the gypsy woman curses the her with a demon that will torment her for three days, and then drag her soul screaming into hell.

This sounds like my kind of movie.

Dead Heaven

I found this fantasy webcomic and thought it was interesting. It’s too early to tell anything about the story, but its very well drawn. The site and what little story there is promise something nice and dark… so I figured I’d pass it along.

Quick Review: The Burrowers

I never really liked westerns. Scratch that… I’ve always pretty much hated them. But a horror movie set in the 1860’s is a good way to lure me in, especially when you add hideous subterranean creatures burying people alive so that they can be eaten once they’ve ‘softened’ a bit.

wait a minute, didn’t I WRITE that

Anyway, here’s the deal with this movie:

Quick Review: Dead in three Days

For a so-called ‘horror’ movie, this shit was boring as fuck.

How’s THAT for a quick review?

Kinda obvious, really

I’m sorry.
I’m really sorry.
But when I saw the following photo and headline on just now, I immediately knew why the supposed ‘crime’ was committed:

Self Defense?

BOOM! Headshot! It’s the only way to take ’em down.
Of course, if all you’ve got is a machete…

(I really AM sorry, but it honestly WAS the first thing I thought of!)

Quick Review: The Unborn

Synopsis: A young woman is haunted by the ghost of her twin brother… who died in the womb. (At least that’s what they want you to think.) The previews looked interesting with some good FX, so I decided to give it a try.
